Amber speckled glass VASE

A bold, sculptural vase designed by František Koudelka for the Prachen glassworks, originally showcased at Expo 58 in Brussels. Mouth-blown in warm amber glass, its imposing cylindrical silhouette is richly textured with a raised, “bobbled” finish - often referred to as “Flora” in Koudelka’s series. The process fuses clear and speckled color flows into the form, resulting in a strikingly tactile surface with unique character. This piece bridges mid-century modern aesthetics with Eastern European artisan legacy. A cherished object in many Hungarian households during the 1960s and '70s, it remains a striking example of Eastern European modernist glass design.
