Each piece is unique, thanks to the distinctive weaving technique and the creative vision and skill of the maker.

About the woven tableclothes of Sárköz:
In present-day Hungary, in Tolna County, there are the peasant textiles influenced by weaving traditions from the five villages of "Sárköz" (Őcsény, Decs, Sárpilis, Alsónyék, Báta), as well as from Szeremlé and partially from Érsekcsanád. The most well-known examples are "white cotton tablecloths" (abroszok) made by weaving two edges together, which are almost carpet-like in their evenness and are covered by geometrically designed **H-shaped** elements made into red-black-blue or red-blue, red-black striped patterns. Exceptionally, some "bird-and-star" patterned tablecloths were also woven, where multiple colors were used. The Sárköz peasant textiles were made using "plain weave" (vászonkötés). The woven items, primarily the tablecloths, were covered across the entire surface with "weft-oriented stripes" (vetülék irányú csíkozás), woven with even spaces. Along with simple stripes, narrow, geometric elements, such as "K-shaped" (resembling the letter K) and rose-like, small rose (not figurative, but geometric due to the weave) patterns were also popular.
